We are delighted to announce that Tommy Muir has today completed his switch to Stranraer from fellow Scottish League Two club Stenhousemuir.
The 24-year-old forward joins the blues ahead of the 2021/2022 season. Tommy played a pivotal role in Stenhousemuir’s top sixth finish last year but is now aiming for promotion to Scottish League One with his new club.
The frontman initially made the step up to the SPFL after his goal scoring exploits for Dalbeattie Star brought him to the attention of Annan boss Peter Murphy.
Muir moved to Galabank in 2018, scoring double figures in both seasons and earned a spot in their Team of the Decade, before moving north to Ochilview.
Stranraer boss Stevie Farrell was delighted to capture his latest signing and had been targeting Muir in recent seasons.
Now at the age of 24 and with plenty of SPFL experience under his belt, Tommy looks forward to a fresh start in new colours.
“I’ve been very close to joining the last two seasons, but it has not quite got over the line for myself.
“This season, once I spoke to the manager and once I met him for a coffee it was just a case of ‘when can we get the deal done?’
“I am really looking forward to working with him.”
Everyone at Superior Sports wishes Tommy the very best at his new club.
