Peterhead midfielder Scott Brown netted a late stoppage time equaliser against Clyde in Scottish League One on Saturday to rescue a point for Jim McInally’s side.
After his goal this afternoon, Scott makes it 9 goals in 26 games this season, meaning this is his most prolific goalscoring season of his career bettering his total of 8 goals from 32 games in the 2019/2020 season.
Brown, who has been a key player for ‘the toon’ this season was happy with his team’s performance on the day however felt that if they had taken one of their clear-cut chances created in the first half then the result could have been different on the day.
Scott said – “I thought we played pretty decent, and we moved the ball well at times. We created a number of chances in the first half and possibly not enough in the second.
“But I think Brett Long has had maybe one save to make whereas we worked their keeper a few times. I still don’t think we’re creating enough clear-cut chances and we need to stop losing slack goals because we’re giving ourselves a mountain to climb.
“My target for the season is ten goals, although I was playing right back in the second half, only moving into midfield towards the end.”
