We are delighted to see Ross Callachan back in first team training with Motherwell. Ross recently signed at Fir Park back in June on a one-year deal after leaving Ross County at the end of last season. The 30-year-old has experienced some injury difficulties over the last 12 months however is now ready to begin a new chapter and new season at Motherwell under Stuart Kettlewell’s guidance.
The midfielder was signed by manager Kettlewell who was previously joint manager at Ross County during a part of Ross’ time in Dingwall. Callachan was a key figure in the County midfield under Kettlewell and now looks to bring his qualities to his new club as he embarks on what he hopes will be a successful season ahead.
Motherwell enjoyed a pre-season trip to the Netherlands last month with a friendly match against Eredivisie side FC Twente. After topping their Premier Sports group all eyes are now set on the opening Scottish Premiership match at home against Callachan’s former team Ross County on Saturday.
