We are delighted to announce that Scott Robinson has today signed with Partick Thistle on a two-year deal.
Scott signs at Firhill ahead of the new campaign having spent two seasons at Premiership club Kilmarnock where he made a total of 32 appearances. Robinson was part of the Ayrshire sides Championship title triumph in the 2021/2022 season before helping Killie retain their Premiership status last year.
Scott started his career at Heart of Midlothian where he progressed through the club’s youth academy. He went on to feature over 100 times for the Edinburgh side. A short spell at Kilmarnock followed before moves to Dunfermline and East Fife materialised. Robinson then moved to West Lothian signing for David Martindale’s Livingston in 2017 and was part of the squad’s back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premiership.
Partick Thistle Manager Kris Doolan was delighted with his new signing and spoke of his admiration for Scott.
“When I knew of Scott’s availability, he was a player that I was keen to add to the squad as quickly as possible. He has experience of getting out of this league and is a proven winner as demonstrated throughout his career.
“He’s a hard worker and he has a great attitude, so I think he’ll fit in well alongside the other attacking players we have at the club. He can play in a number of positions in our team, and I see him as a key part of what we are looking to achieve this season.”
Now officially part of Kris Doolan’s Jaggies side, Scott joins up with the Thistle squad for pre-season training ahead of an exciting new season in Maryhill.
