Queen’s Park’s Ferrie Stars In TOTW

Calum Ferrie named in the SPFL Team of the Week

Congratulations to Calum Ferrie on his team of the week inclusion this week after what has been an impressive start to the season personally for the shot stopper.

The talented keeper along with his Queens teammates managed to keep Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen at bay for 90 minutes at Pittodrie in the Premier Sports Last 16 before an injury time belter from Dons new signing Topi Keskinen. In particular, Ferrie’s save from Pape Gueye was one of the world-class variety.

This follows on from a formidable start to the season from arguably the best goalkeeper in the division. A save of the season contender on the opening weekend at Falkirk Stadium as Callum Davidson’s men fell just short of taking points followed by a point at home to Championship newcomers Livingston rounded off a steady start to the league campaign.

Ferrie joined the club in June 2021 from Dundee and has become an integral part of the team under former Head Coach Robin Veldman and now Callum Davidson. After an eighth place finish last season Queens have strengthened during the summer transfer window and have now positioned themselves well to compete at the top end of the Scottish Championship table. Next up they return to league duty when they travel to Airdrieonians on Saturday 24th August.
