We are delighted to announce that midfielder Matheus Machado has today extended his contract at Elgin City for a further year until the summer of 2023.
The Brazilian playmaker joined the club from Portuguese side Rio Ave FC last August after spending a season with their B Team and made his Elgin City debut against Edinburgh City last season.
Originally coming through the youth development in his native Brazil with Palmeiras and R.B Brazil, Matheus came to Scotland in August 2018 where he signed for Inverness CT. After two years in the highlands, including first team appearances under former boss John Robertson, Machado moved to Portugal to join Rio Ave FC.
