Lee Ashcroft made his 50th appearance in a Dundee shirt at St Mirren on Saturday afternoon. A 1-0 victory for James McPake’s men lifted them four points adrift of Ross County after their game against Hibernian was postponed.
Lee joined Dundee in the summer of last year where he hoped to help the team with a promotion push and to improve on their third-place finish in the previous campaign.
Playing an integral part in the backline under McPake, Ashcroft helped the Dundee club achieve promotion back into the Scottish Premiership after a second-place finish behind Hearts.
Dundee entered the playoffs and after a comfortable victory over Raith, secured promotion to the Scottish Premiership after defeating Kilmarnock over two legs in Ashcroft’s first season at the club.
