Kyle Benedictus has today signed a new contract with Superior Sports Management. The 28-year-old club captain at Raith Rovers has decided to sign an extension having been a client of the company for over 5 years.
Having made 36 appearances this season, Raith currently sits 1 point ahead of Falkirk at the top of Scottish League One as they push for the Scottish League One title. Promotion would be a huge achievement for the club and would make it Raith Rovers’ first appearance in the Scottish Second Tier since the 2016/2017 season.
Benedictus started his professional career in 2008 signing with Dundee at the age of 16, making his first-team debut against Airdrie on 1st November that year. Loan spells with Montrose in 2011 and Alloa Athletic in 2014 helped Kyle with some much needed first-team experience at the time. After bagging 84 appearances for Dundee in total, Kyle moved south and joined Raith Rovers on 10th June 2015. Since then he has made 122 appearances and has scored 3 goals.
