Carlisle United’s Assistant boss Gavin Skelton, along with professional development phase coach Eric Kinder, will take temporary charge at Brunton Park after the sacking of Chris Breech.

Skelton, who has been Assistant Manager at the club since 2019 began his managerial career at Workington either side of a spell at Queen of the South.

The Interim boss looks forward to leading the team on Saturday and hopes for an immediate improvement on recent results.

“It’s always hard to see someone lose their job, however the club have asked me to take charge until further notice and I look forward to leading the team out on Saturday.

“Tranmere have started well this season so we know that it will be a tough game but if our preparation is right then I don’t see how we can’t get three points and start improving results this season.”
