De Vita will go straight into the matchday squad for the visit of Stenhousemuir in tomorrow’s Betfred Cup match. After the move was confirmed Edinburgh City manager James McDonaugh spoke of his delight on adding Raffaele’s much needed experience to his squad:
“We have been looking extensively for weeks to add both strength and depth to the squad. It has been difficult to find the right type that we need and signing Raffa to the end of the season will add us experience as well as quality in the forward areas of the pitch. I remember him playing against us in the Championship and I am sure with his personality, he will do well for us this season.”
Stenhousemuir visit Ainslie Park tomorrow afternoon on which will be Edinburgh’s second Betfred Cup match after they suffered a 5-1 defeat to De Vita’s parent club Livingston on Tuesday night. They then travel to Championship outfit Alloa Athletic on Tuesday evening before the start of the Scottish League Two Season next Saturday when they travel to Brechin City.
Everyone at Superior Sports wishes Raffaele well during his loan spell at Edinburgh City.
