Brian Reid has returned to training with his Scottish League Two side Albion Rovers this afternoon after the SFA cleared all clubs in League One & Two to return to training.
Speaking after taking his first session since returning the First Team Manager had this to say:
“We are in a position where we can and will improve the squad. The three (Ryan Stevenson, David Cox and Jamie McKernon) announced tonight show our ambition. Having some real experience at the core of the team was needed and will complement the guys we already have.
“It was brilliant to be back after a long period out. Having spoken to the team beforehand, it was clear everyone shared a great level of enthusiasm about getting back and playing out the season.
Albion’s first match back will be a home tie against Annan Athletic at Cliftonville next Saturday with a 3pm kick off. Brian’s side have had a difficult season as they sit in ninth position with only two wins from eight, however with two games in hand over next week’s opponents Brian and his team will be hopeful of a strong finish to the League two season.
