Congratulations to Brad Spencer on being named Man of the Match in Falkirk’s opening league match of the season against Queens Park at the Falkirk Stadium last night. Falkirk won 2-1 on the night, heading to the summit of the league table after goals from Calvin Miller and Sean Mackie.
Brad enters his second season at the club after achieving promotion in his first year helping Falkirk return to the Scottish Championship after a two-year absence. The bairns have now gone 473 days without a defeat.
John McGlynn’s side took the three points and now head to East End Park next week for a derby match where they will be high in confidence that they can get a result. Speaking post-match the Falkirk manager was delighted with his team’s performance: “I thought our work on and off the ball tonight was excellent, from the defence, Gary Oliver, midfield of Brad and Dylan we were just excellent.”
“We’ll give the guys the weekend off and look forward to Dunfermline next weekend.”
