We are delighted to announce that Max Johnstone has today completed his move to AFC Fylde. The 22-year-old goalkeeper joins the club having impressed the coaching staff and manager Jim Bentley during a short trial where he featured for them in Tuesday afternoon’s friendly match against Wigan Athletic Under 23’s.
After signing at Mill Farm, Max had this to say: “I’m buzzing to sign for Fylde and to be back in the football environment. It has been a long six months and i am excited to hopefully get a chance this season. Thanks to everyone at Superior Sports for getting me the opportunity and for getting the deal sorted.”
AFC Fylde begin their 2020/2021 National League North campaign at home to Darlington on the 6th October after the fixtures were released earlier this week. They then travel to Gateshead four days later before hosting Kettering Town and Farsley Celtic either side of a trip to Alfreton Town.
Everyone at Superior Sports wishes Max the best of luck at AFC Fylde.
